About this data
Methodology: pricesDefinitions3
- MOP
- MOP (muriate of potash), Brazil CFR granular spot price from January 2020; previously, f.o.b. Vancouver. Monthly average of the World Bank benchmark, as published.
- Customs unit value
- Customs unit value: world average of declared values per tonne (FOB equivalent), annual. Not a market price and not comparable month by month with the benchmark; as an average of contract prices it lags the benchmark in fast-moving markets.
- Monthly customs unit value
- World customs unit value: declared value per tonne of all import routes of at least 1,000 t in the month (cost, insurance and freight included), outliers excluded. An average of contract prices: it follows the benchmark with a lag and includes freight.

Notes5
- That is 4.3% higher than in September 2025 (352.5 USD/t).
- The 2025 (estimate) annual average published in the Pink Sheet was 347.5 USD/t.
- Benchmarks as published by the World Bank (monthly averages). FertRadar does not publish price assessments or forecasts.
- Benchmarks differ in location and delivery terms; a customs unit value is an annual average of declared values, not a market price.
- Customs unit values average the contract prices of a whole year, so they lag spot benchmarks when markets move fast (2008-2009, 2021-2023).
