About FertRadar
FertRadar turns public data on fertilizer markets (customs statistics, official statistics, the producers' own reports) into consistent series, with the source, the definition and the grade of each figure.
Who makes it
Fertilizer market data is either scattered across hundreds of public sources or locked behind expensive subscriptions. FertRadar is made by Maxime Rinjard, who spent five years as a strategy consultant specialised in fertilizer and commodity markets (phosphates, potash, nitrogen and sulphur). He built it to bring the most useful data together in one place, consistent across sources, with every figure traced to its origin.
FertRadar is independent: it is not affiliated with any producer, trader, consultancy or data provider, and it is funded by its users.
How the data is made
- Public sources only: international and national statistics, customs data and the producers' own documents. Every source is named, with its licence, on Sources and licences.
- Reconciled and documented: trade flows are checked from both sides; each adjustment is listed with its reason and a confidence level, on Data quality.
- Released every month: each release is numbered and dated, so that every figure can be cited and found again (Releases).
- Data, not opinion: FertRadar publishes no forecast, no price assessment and no recommendation.
